Obligatory pumpkin portraits of the boys, taken at Pumpkin Moon last Friday!
It was our first time at Pumpkin Moon - isn't it fab? The three boys (Jude was at preschool) had great fun filling up their wheelbarrows with perfect specimens. We took home six which the boys plan to carve into portraits of each family member (er, wish us luck with that one!)
Charlie and Mary showed us the different pumpkin, squash and guords grown on site - I had no idea there were so many. I picked up some recipe cards (recipes from Anna's Family Kitchen) so I'm hoping to convert our leftovers into soup and risotto (and maybe brownies!) this week.
Amongst the pumpkins we stumbled across a picture book kindly left by someone from the Maidstone Books group. Having come over from Tonbridge we left it there for someone local to find. It's a brilliant way of getting more children reading - join their Facebook page to get involved! 🙌
Pumpkin Moon is open until 31st October and is very much worth a visit. We'll be back next year! For more information visit pumpkinmoon.uk.
